28 Days of Things I Love: Nude Sandals

At 5'2" I don't have entirely too much leg to work with so I always tend to opt for nude sandals because I firmly believe they make my baby legs look a little longer. Plus, they match everything! Alan happened to walk by as I was finishing up this post and he votes middle right and bottom left! He knows me well! How about you?:)

Do you say vase or vauze? Here is my theory: "vase" = $50 and below and "vauze" = $50+ and up ;) If  you simply must have one, they are having a sale on select items in the Pearl Collection! woo! Someone might need the "neck dots bud vase." 

28 Days of Things I Love : Maple Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies

I was lucky enough to spend yesterday working a photo shoot with so many talented women- Tamra, Thea, Patricia, Courtney, Gabrielle, Liz from Marisa Perry, Chellise, and Ellen. (Who rules the world? Girls.) We came together at the hip Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, who I have to say were such welcoming hosts, in this stunning space. It wasn't hard to be inspired!

We worked straight through lunch so when I got home I was extremely ravenous and only craving the kind of food you crave when it's cold, rainy, and you're too tired to think. Alan ordered three whole pizzas. 3. My best friend Kristin who was in town for work came over with a bottle of wine. (I miss her face.)

And I baked Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies. One of the steps was "Pour the bacon grease into the batter." mmm hmmm.

As far as the shoot, everyone worked so well together that I'm sure you'll be able to tell in the outcome! I can't disclose too many details, (it was amazing!) but here's a sneak peek of the adorable models and more on my instagram! Oh, and one of my bar carts made a quick cameo too. Overall, a victorious a day :)

28 Days of Things I Love: Love Notes

There's nothing more beautiful than sending (and receiving!) scribbly little love notes from loved ones. I have a keepsake box full of letters from Alan, from girlfriends, from family...re-reading them every once in awhile is really such a joy. It was so fun to participate in Jen's "Cartas De Amor"in which you'll find darling love letters written to and from a few people you might recognize :) Alan wrote to me on page 31, if you would like to see. 28 Days of Things I Love: YSL Volupte Sheer Candy

My sweet sister-in-law recently gifted me a tube of YSL's Volupté Sheer Candy glossy lip balm. It adds the most perfect amount of sheer, brilliant color and it's also surprisingly silky, even hydrating. "Succulent pomegranate" (right) is a new favorite in my lipstick pouch. I would love to scoop up Tangy Mandarine or Cool Guava too!

28 Days of Things I Love: Lamps

Overhead lighting is for the birds. I have both feet planted in the camp of flickering candlelight, dimmers on demand, and strategically placed lamps. Besides, I'm stressed, I have sleep deprived-induced under eye bags, and adult acne. Overhead lighting is not my friend. I obviously need all the help I can get. Who doesn't like to look a little more dashing, anyway? ;)
