Catherine in Chains

So after sporting layered chains,

(no, not to the tune of ..."Do your chain hang low"...I'd like to think I'm a bit classier)

around IHFC the past couple of days...

I'm ready to willingly and in fact eagerly,

ask....

to be chained up once more...no handcuffs involved

Actually in a stylish fashion, and only if it's by...

Catherine Malandrino {period}

Her jewelry line meshes baubles, raw cut stones, and sparkly eye catchers with chains galore! So boho and so chic, yes please.

If you have to be chained to your desk on a Monday, wouldn't you want it to be by Catherine too? Hope you had a fabulous weekend lovies!

p.s. More to report from the furniture market soon :)

High Point Highlights: Rosettes and Frills

I'm back with more of my favorites from High Point! I know we've seen these everywhere,

in fabulous accessories from Fendi to Badgley...

to gliding down Tibi's Spring 2010 runway...

but so far I have yet to tire of dainty rosettes, feminine frills, and appliques!
As I explored the market, I was drawn to a home accessories line, Emdee, that dresses up everything from pillows to drapes!!

Sweet and soft...
Textured treats!

and dressed up drapes!

Kinda shabby chic? Kinda Anthro? What do you think darlings?
Taking another walkabout- will report back :)

High Point Highlights: Eye-Catching Eloquence

Hi from High Point!

I just walked InterHall in the IHFC building...

....I was immediately drawn to "eloquent" eye candy

in the form of reproduction furniture...

and refurbished antiques...

...think re-discovered vintage treasures....

French inspired classics...

Unexpected chandeliers...

and a perfect co-mingling of the old and the new...

from grand mirrors to...

old world charm in all the details.

Stay tuned for more on what's new from the Fall furniture show!!
p.s. I wish I had a press pass :( I would snap shots of so many more goodies for you loves!!

Fashion and Furniture

Which came first?
The chicken?

Or the egg?

The nautical room?

Or the sailor look?

The fur coat?

Or the fur rug?

Animal print dresses?

Or animal print pillows?

Sorry for the lack of attention darlings- I've been working on a presentation illustrating how trends transcend industries from fashion to furniture and vice versa. I'm most likely giving it now at a sales meeting consisting of about 20+ men (talk about a tough audience!) at the High Point Furniture market that starts this weekend. Public speaking makes me a nervous, clammy mess so I hope as you are reading that I'm not stuttering! On a side note, are you wearing an outfit today that reflects a room in your house? Today, I am my living room.

and p.s. I'll try to sneak a camera so I can report back fun finds and new home trends for this Fall! xoxo

Waiting on Wednesday?

via
Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite. Or waiting around for Friday night or waiting perhaps for their Uncle Jake or a pot to boil or a better break or a string of pearls or a pair of pants or a wig with curls or another chance. Everyone is just waiting.
~Dr. Seuss

Good morning darlings! I know work is poo, but are you waiting for the week to be over already? Or even for Wednesday to be over? The H always says, "This could be the best day of your life, and you don't even know it yet." So don't wait my loves- go out and meet your day! In fact, run to it with an open mind and seize it for all its worth. :)

In My Cup of Te: the Carolina Coast

I realize you may consider this just short of cruel for a Monday morning, but 1) I promised I would share my location for the better part of this week and 2) Sometimes a daydream or two is all you need to get you through a sobering Monday! :)

On the Carolina Coast,
Surfing has nothing to do with a computer and a web address,

Haphazard fences and overgrown brush aren't an eyesore,

Wearing something 10 times the size of your head on your head will not make you the recipient of curious double takes- not bad ones at least ;),

Even tiki torches seem to be smiling,

and your toes too,

Jumping for joy is uncontrollable and often,

If you please, cars and clothes are always optional,

and jewelry too because sometimes in the sand you'll find a sparkle that far out shines that of a diamond,

"She no longer sees the sunrise with sleepy eyes" is applicable,

and even at night it seems the sun is still shining :)

Even if it was brief, I hope that I brought you to your happy place this morning my lovies!
Happy Monday!
xoxo

Party like a Roxstar...

And a little peak at where I will be writing you from this week :) Whether you're heading out for a casual dinner (in earshot of waves!!) like me or just relaxing on your favorite spot on the couch- savor every bit of what's left of this gorgeous Sunday!!
Cheers darlings,
