TGIF y'all! I'm headed deeper South to watch my sis' first tennis match of the season. I'm so proud of little miss college athlete! It's also mom's birthday weekend so there are lots of festivities planned. Last year I wasn't able to join them because I was guzzling Patron (for a good cause, mind you!) here so I'm doubly excited to celebrate!!

Since moving into the new place and having to throw away my old desk (a DIY I had planned to share *tear*), my home office situation is straight-up sad. Think floor, bed, windowsill. Every girl needs a chic camel coat. Especially when it's in the teens outside. Eeek! It's simply a wardrobe staple that can be dressed up or down, go feminine or boyfriend beautiful, and can go with any color palette from neon bright to basic black.
Hello, darlings! What do you have going on this weekend? Alan and I don't have too much going on AGAIN and I'm simply giddy over it. Tonight we have reservations with friends at a neighborhood restaurant that I have been dying to try. Their slogan is "fat is back." I'm down with it.
Don't these sunshine-hued tulips make you smile? I was asleep yesterday when Alan got home from work as I've been a bit under the weather. He sat on the edge of the bed, gently woke me, and I found these staring back at me. He also told me I was beautiful, which was definitely one of those "only because you're my husband" moments, because I was probably drooling on myself. Bless him! Needless to say, I'm already in the best mood for a day or two off!
