Fashion to Furnishings. Spring Color Trends.

Last week Refinery 29 announced 6 spring color trends worthy of our utmost attention. The colorful edits inspired me to play around à la Coco + Kelley style a.k.a. Rooms from the Runway! Stay tuned next week for more eye candy in pink and orange!

p.s. Didn't get enough of aqua? Click on this post I wrote back in September to get another heaping dose of it!

Babe.

Babe Paley. 1. Fashion Editor at Vogue in the '40's 2. Appeared in America's Best Dressed List in 1945 followed by 13 more times. 3. Married Mortimer, oil heir, then Paley, founder of CBS.
4. It's safe to say the woman had good taste.
"Babe Paley only had one fault; she was perfect; otherwise, she was perfect." ~Truman Capote, writer, Breakfast at Tiffany's

Tim Walker

Last week I featured London based photographer, Graham Atkins Hughes. This week the spotlight's on one of my all time faves, another London based genius, and a rock star of photography as far as I'm concerned- Tim Walker!! His work is positively fantastical and sends my imagination running in every which way! His shoot for Mulberry's Spring 2011 campaign that was just released last week is no exception and was inspired by a classic children's book dear to my heart, The Secret Garden.

New tastemaker mavens you must meet and a "surprise!"

I've weighed two options this morning: leading you to believe that I have been living under a rock versus keeping that which inspires delight all to myself. Guess what? You win, my darlings!! I simply cannot get over the peeper pleasing pretty-ness going on at several marvelous blogs I discovered just this very week so here they are!

p.s. Did you see me over at Design Darling yesterday?! After reading it, my Bobbi Brown go-to was so UNnecessary ;)

"Art Inspired" by Mimi + Meg

"Green with Envy" by The Pursuit of Style

"The Top 5 Most Buzzed about interior designers of the year" by So Haute

"To My Wife" A blog by John Jannuzzi where he writes notes to his Mrs.-to-be. Not as cheesy as it sounds!

And on another (so stinkin' cute!) note, my dad is always talking in "big picture" terms. "How was your day?" is habitually and most undoubtedly replaced with "What are you top three goals in life?" or "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" When did hi, hello become an interview and the living room a conference room?! Anyways, he "surprised" me today with this silly rendering he had his designers sketch up...

Sit! Stay awhile! The pops would be very pleased.
After he got quite a chuckle out of his little joke, he gave me a quick confidence building pep talk and motivation for creating, in my terms, a "sparkly" future! His intent was to inspire, and I love it! So tell me darlings, what's in yours? ;)

Fancy a Fete?

I'm sure you've all seen today's fabulous foodie fashionista (say that three times fast!) post over at Coco + Kelley. It's truly a sight to behold with pops of pink and orange dancing before your very eyes! Vibrant and borderline intoxicating this oh-so-chic color combo makes me not only oooh la la!!, but it sends pink and orange colored dinner party daydreams dancing through my head!

Fancy my fantasy fête? Check out the table decor here and hit up Matthew Williamson for the bedazzled beauty. Still not had your fill? The Hermes Tour De Cles vintage-inspired silk twill scarf and this major monogram Goyard (scroll!) would do any girl good!
