If I really have to...

Five words that really sum up how I feel about Valentine's Day? Please see post title. Think flowers are a good idea? Do me a favor, be more original and pick another day of the year. Chocolates? You better be prepared to console me after I eat the whole box. Doesn't sound like much fun, huh? Despite my general distaste for this silly holiday, my stone cold heart couldn't help but to soften just a wee bit when I saw this darling DIY Valentine Invitation over at Eat Drink Chic. If I really have to, I guess you could count me in for couch, kisses, take-out, champagne, movie, sugar, popcorn, and love... :)

Afternoon tea? Err, champagne?

Monday, monday. I'm so. over. it. What I'd really like to do is invite everyone over for the kind of afternoon tea where dull ol' earl gets booted for his younger, more hip relative- champers! Are you up for filling these inside out hearts teacups with bubbly and chin-chinning the day away? Come on over! The more is always merrier!

Side Note- Why you should follow me on Twitter...

In all honesty, I didn't really get twitter until as of late. I actually had a recent "moment" that involved an exasperated sigh entirely too loud for what is appropriate in the workplace, hands thrashing wildly in the air, the throwing of a phone, and a slamming of a drawer- all because I couldn't figure out how to turn off Tweet Caster. I swear I'm not crazy, but the buzzing of my phone at every last tweet is a little more than I can personally handle.

It's not particularly sounding like Twitter is good for one's sanity, but it really is a great way to gather information and connect to other "tweeps" in seconds, that is if your phone doesn't stream updates. Anyways, the point of this seemingly gratuitious side note is to say that Twitter is how I found out about Kelly Wearstler's fabulous new blog, (and if we're even a little bit on the same page, which we technically are because you're reading this now, then you'll understand how monumental this is) and it's how I instantly spread the word by tweeting it. Don't you want to be informed and connected? You know you do ;) Click here!

Max Wanger

I'm sure you've all seen and heard of the talented Max Wanger. His work is featured as Jo's header, and he portrays the loveliest brides and grooms like Alex and Mina.  His latest is traveling at lightning speed around the blogosphere in the form of Ban.Do love. While all his work is stunning, it's his photos of life in general that really get me. He's one of those rare photographers who can turn happenstance into something much more- it's all really quite magical.

Weekend Picture Book

My new harem pants- $30 at a local boutique! Zara metallic blouse, Temperley London Aurora bucket bag, Forever. 21 loop necklace and black platform pumps, vintage earrings, Madewell mixed media bracelet, and Cartier Santos men's watch. How'd I do??

p.s. It's Super Bowl Sunday! Who are you pulling for? I don't have strong feelings for either team, but I think Aaron Rodgers and his signature championship belt move is awesome!
