As part of their recent Spring 2013 releases, Osborne & Little debuted this charming wallpaper featuring "iconic early paperbacks" from Penguin publishing house. Featured titles include Bronte's Wuthering Heights, Mansfield's The Garden Party, Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four...wouldn't this make for such a darling kids room? Complete with mini Chesterfield?! Bookmarked for future...way future:)

p.s. I immediately think kids but I'm curious to know, where would you put it?

Socks with Heels at Paris Fashion Week

The thought of bearing any kind of skin, even just an ankle, in the winter months makes me want to immediately crawl into a head to toe onesie. This street style snap taken at Paris Fashion Week, "Down the steps at Grand Palais," might be a practical solution, but I'm not sure how fashionable if I were to attempt. Daydream NYC: 12th & Jane

I found this West Village prewar beaut while searching recent listings "for fun" over the weekend-11 foot ceilings, 1835 mouldings, original marble mantles, decorative fireplaces, oversized windows, Italian marble baths, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, subzero appliances, a Viking stove, a garden in Manhattan? Does it get more perfect? I need a friend who can afford this to move in asap. I will come visit, like, everyday:)

p.s. I keep this book nearby at all times as motivation. Do you have a dream home? Where would it be? What would it look like?

The Black Bag

On Sunday, Alan and I were invited to the Net-a-Porter and Mr.Porter friends and family sale in Chelsea. (Thanks, D!) Just like last year, (really?!), I was out of town for work, so it was up to the Mr. to attempt to scoop up a staple-- the black bag. It's time for a new one.

To prep him for the task at hand, I sent him this "Guide to Roxy's Style" cheat sheet with the sweet note, "Don't eff this one up." jk! Not really:)

He didn't end up finding anything for either of us, but maybe he'll save the cheat sheet for future:)  If you had to choose a few purses for a similar mission, which ones would they be? Do you have a favorite on the current wish list?

Weekend Picture Book: Te Family Time

This weekend started off like this. Remember, my favorite Manhattan Wine Co.? Ever since that first case, my parents have not been able to go back to grocery store wine. (Their options are Wal-mart and Lowes Foods, after all!) I made a promise that each time Dad is in the country, which is not often these days, that they will be efficiently stocked with tasty, interesting wines. They are successfully spoiled. Oops:)

Since we probably won't be all together again until July, we squeezed in a lot of family time in North Carolina. Mom, sis, and I on our way to 9AM mass...

...followed by brunch! Waitress, "Would you like mimosas?" Mom, "FOUR!"

We have been going to the same place for about 20 years; it's hosted everything from my sister's and my Filipino 18th Debuts to Dad's raucous 50th, and our wedding! It has gotten a little fancier over the years. Now that is a Chesterfield...

And last but not least, this little stinker, Makai Te, enjoyed himself thoroughly. Apparently, he is extra mischievous when I am visiting.  This is his guilty face after treating a couple chairs like trampolines.

Green Goodies to Love

My amazing intern, Sarah, put this gorgeous green round-up together just in time for March! I would love to don the Madewell silk dress, push Madison around, and serve y'all some cocktails! What drink would you request? I'll be sipping on a gin martini and I'm pretty sure Sarah would have a marg:) TGIF!

p.s. I totally felt like number one yesterday-- I cried into my green bean casserole. Don't you love lessons learned the hard way?! I fear using superlatives doesn't sound genuine sometimes so I'll just send big kisses for those words of encouragement:) Forewarning, I love  kissing on the lips so get that pucker ready.
