Outtakes from the official MCT Photoshoot

My Cup of Te Photoshoot from Lawrence Te on Vimeo.

My sweet, sweet brother (of SSF of an AE) with his photo and video editing skills surprised me this morning with the footage of photoshoot day. My cousin and best friend Anna decided she wanted to pull an Oprah and interview me, which was not part of the plan, hence the ridiculous outtakes of stuttering and squirming. We had the best time that day, and it was so fun to re-live the memories. Enjoy! :)

p.s.s. I swear I'm going back to regular programming soon.

Fancy a Fete with the Rue Crew?

On Monday night I was lucky enough to attend the Rue Magazine party at The New Tradionalists' showroom in Soho. It was an absolute delight to meet the Rue ladies as well as so many like-minded and motivated people! Before the party, I had a date with the Design Darling, Mackenzie, who truly is a darling! We had a wonderful time at dinner and drinks in Greenwich Village before catching a cab to the soiree. Here are the pics...

Ciao complete with mood lighting  ;)
Mixology masters at the New Traditionalists' showroom!
Mackenzie and I "Christmas has arrived!"
Pretty, pretty pic of Manvi of Mochatini and Cassandra of Coco + Kelley!
With Leslie (aka the social media maven!) of the Kaleidoscope Partnership
Ashlina The Decorista and Anne Sage of Rue and The City Sage
Talis, VP of Marketing for VandM and part-time safari enthusiast!
Mackenzie, Manvi, Crystal, and Cassandra!
Abby of 5th Joy with Marcy and Marcy!
So lovely to meet Julieann of Create Girl and a fellow North Carolinian, Jennifer Powell!

Great company, great conversations, and fabulous hosts! Thanks to all for such a wonderful evening!

After the RUE Party there's the after party...

See those tasty lookin' morsels in the right hand corner? They were doomed as soon as I laid eyes on them. Pic snapped by DwellStudio.

After seeing the "House of Brinson's" NYC loft last year posted up all over the blogosphere (see here, here, here, and here) and saving every photo to my favorites, I almost passed out when I somehow ended up in said loft for some late night (as late as you can get on a Monday!) sips and apps. It was every bit divine as it looks in pictures, and I must've been a babbling fool when gushing my thanks to the most gracious hosts. Here are a few of my faves, but for more head over to Design Sponge.

p.s. Stay tuned for tomorrow's "Fancy a Fête?" with the Rue Crew for all the pics from the party!

I believe...

...that work isn't work when you're doing what you love, that NYC is the greatest city of all, and that there's no such thing as coach class with champers in hand.

The Glamorous, oh the Glossy, Glossy!

The most fantastic round-ups from...
...interiors to...
style!
And ridiculous home tours and vignettes to die for!

Based on the glittery eye candy and seriously high style features, the sparkly new High Gloss Magazine should have Fergie's Glamorous as their theme song. My feet have barely hit the ground since last week, but with latte in one hand and mouse in the other I had one second to flip through the latest "glossy," and I have to say I'm hooked. Check it out immediately for a necessary dose of glam!

p.s. Stay tuned lovers, pics from the Rue Issue 3 Launch Party at the New Tradionalists showroom in Soho coming soon!

Guest Post by Will of Bright Bazaar

From subway to bus to taxi and plane, I go! Almost home and until then, introducing Mr. Bazaar aka the fantastic Will of Bright Bazaar!  I couldn't think of anyone more perfect to fill my Wednesday "Furnish!" spot and he's stopping in all the way from the UK to share his impeccable interiors expertise. I'm sure you already have, but if you have not, do stop by the Bazaar for one of his signature colour cocktails. Many, many thanks Will!! Without further adieu...

Hello! It's Will from Bright.Bazaar here and I'm delighted to be filling in for Roxy as she parties in New York for the launch of Rue Magazine's third issue. I decided to blog this darling kitchen space because it marries a couple of my interior favourites - stripes and brights. Add in the fusion of modern worktops and country dining chairs and it has made for a near perfect space. Plus, aren't open shelves just the best?!

Guest Post by Jo! Peaches & Cream...not the song.

Hi loves! I'm currently still running around with my carry-on so as promised, here is a fabulous guest post by Jo at I'd Rather Be Shopping.  I owe her big time for not only helping me keep the inspiration going, but beyond jaw-dropping inspiration at that, and for also being a wonderful kindred spirit as we both relish life after retail!  She has impeccable fashion sense, and I immediately knew she would be the perfect guest for my fashion Tuesdays.  After perusing this post, I doubt I will have to tell you to dash over to her fantastic blog.  Without further adieu...

I'm so excited and honored to write a post for one of my favorite blogs today -- thanks for having me at My Cup of Te, Roxy!  For those of you who don't know me, I am a raving shopaholic who likes to obsess publicly about purchasing (or wanting to purchase) everything under the sun.  How's that for an intro?  Lately, I have been fixating on the start of spring.  Though its only February 1st, I am more than ready for warmer weather, aren't you?  While I am wearing mostly navy and grey these days, I am so inspired by the lovely pink tones that are springing up everywhere in the marketplace (excuse the pun!).  When i came across the peach palette in thread social's summer 2011 collection, I was instantly smitten and had to throw an inspiration board together.  Here's hoping for some warmer weather in the very near future...What color are you excited to wear this spring?
