I don't know about y'all, but I'm totally in weekend mode! As in where there is happy hour I will go! Or... who needs shoes when you can put on dancing shoes? Or...alarm, you say? Well I have one pretty little Essie "Lacquered Up" finger just for you! How about breakfast and lunch? So lame. Brunch will be had! Okay, okay, you get it :) With that said, I was just super excited to bring you this week's Fancy a Fête? for all of the above and more!

Bamboozled and a Guest Post!

I've been seeing these faux bamboo mirrors everywhere as of late. Did you see the one in my house? And the one that the fabulous Emily A. Clark picked up over the weekend? I just can't get enough of the exotic flair that they bring to a room! What do you think, loves? Is the look for you?

In other news, darling Amber of Imagine. Create. Play. invited me over for a guest post. She's new to the blogging world and in her efforts to find her way around, she's hosting a series featuring the authors of the blogs she likes to read.  Go on over and introduce yourself- she'd love to meet you!

If Kelly Wearstler and Jonathan Adler say so...

Leopard People, 1966
Columbia Steps, 2003
At the Funeral of Martin Luther King Jr., 1968
Bryant Park, 2002
Repairing the Bells of Potsdam, Germany, 1930

The New York Times asked 5 top interior designers: Vicente Wolf, Thom Filicia, Kelly Wearstler, Jonathan Adler, and Laura Kirar to choose 10 photos from their archives. The result? A smashingly curated 50 piece art collection that the style gods of the industry have basically anointed with holy water. We have their blessing, now if only I could get one of the 5 lovelies to come over...

Can you pair the photo with the designer?

Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light...

How many people are lucky enough to have a song titled with their name? A handful for sure, but how many of those people can say that the song is sung by Sting and about a hooker who walks the streets? Yup, me. Well to the hundreds of "original" people who thought they would be the very first to sing "Roxanne" to me, I will put on the red light...just send on over one of those delicious red coats, and I will happily hit the streets.

Cat Eyes. So. Sick.

Cat-eye sunnies that are so sick they make me want to stomp on my pair from Urban. Porcelain skin that could rival any China dolls. And that fiery. red. hair. Seriously. Taylor Tomasi Hill is killin' me. Norma Kamali, watch out, I'm comin' to get you.

What's the latest that is making you think twice about taking a hammer to your piggy bank?

p.s. A shout out to JoAnn for introducing me to my newest style icon!
