Dreams Can Come True

Hair @ Peter Som. “I wanted it to look like it was well-done at some point but just sort of fell apart. But the girl doesn’t care because she knows she looks good,” Eugene Souleiman

Wouldn't it be a dream come true to have a stylist help you fix your hair everyday? Mine's lucky to get washed. Grosss, I know. Rat's nest or effortless cool- do you love the deconstructed Peter Som look? It's just my cup of te(a)!

Have you seen UP? They really did it- the real life version. Absolutely incredible.

And just in case you we're not Facebook friends, which we should be, I had to share this pic of the UP house. See, dreams really can come true!

"PEOPLE!" Street Style by Zara & You

I'm totally digging Barcelona's skateboard. I, on the other hand, would eat dirt if I attempted anything so cool.
The ladies are killing it, but no accessory or garment can do what a laugh and a smile can. Agree?

I adore fabulous and most fantastical fashion editorials probably more than the next girl, but there's nothing like real life, rockin' street style. I also adore Zara, my friends and piggy bank can attest to my addiction & self-proclaimed advocacy, also more than the next girl.

Why am I telling you this? Well I just discovered their latest project and am eating up all the real life looks fashionistas-next-door have created. All you have to do (besides have massive style oozing out of your ears) is create a look with 2 main items from the Spring/Summer collections, submit your photo, and count on your lucky stars to be the chosen feature. And get this, if you're one of the uber-cool to get drawn out of the pot, they'll pay you just for being pretty! Fantastic! I've got the items down, but nowhere near the cool factor. Any takers?

Major Coral Crush

J.Crew Coral and Korres No. 45

I saw this post by Em full of tousled hair and coral kissed lips and immediately had to share my latest obsession- Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in No.45. I tried on this smashing coral last time I played (playing is definitely the word!) at Sephora and was immediately smitten. What's your latest lip love, darlings? Do tell!

Inspiration & Insomnia

Today I have pages upon pages of ideas and sandpapery eyes. I couldn't sleep last night; the long, bare fingers of my sketchbook dragged me out of bed until the wee hours of the morning. I'm not sure if it's intense worry or intense inspiration. I keep telling myself something a dear family friend told me, "It's not I hope this works, it's what can I do to make this work." Right, darlings? :)

What do you do when you just can't fall asleep?

Preggo Pretty

Have you seen those awkward preggy portraits where barenaked belly bumps overbear entire photos and distract you from the beauty of it all? Come on ladies, even Demi barely pulled it off. This darling pregnancy shoot by Amelia Lyon should be the benchmark for all baby bump portraits. I'm nowhere near ready to open that chapter, but it truly made my heart melt.

Lauren Moffatt's Printemps Pastels

Good morning, my darlings! How was your weekend? We've had several days of Spring teasers and the weather this weekend was even sweet-tempered enough for us to spend one of our evenings cheers'ing cocktails al fresco. With the hope of Spring around the corner, I've been especially inspired by printemp's pastels. Lauren Moffatt's Spring 2011 collection made quite the blogosphere rounds when it was introduced last fall, but it feels like it's just about time to don these pretty looks versus shivering in your booties and pining for them!
